OKLAHOMA CITY – Treasurer-elect Randy McDaniel will be administered the oath of office on Wednesday morning to become Oklahoma’s 19th Oklahoma State Treasurer. McDaniel was appointed by Governor Mary Fallin to complete the final two weeks of the current four-year term that will become vacant with the January 1 resignation of State Treasurer Ken Miller, who has accepted an executive position with OGE Energy Corp.
McDaniel was elected as state treasurer on November 6, receiving 72 percent of the vote and carrying all 77 counties.
McDaniel will begin his first full four-year term on January 14 during inaugural ceremonies on the south steps of the State Capitol Building with the governor and other statewide elected officials.
